Our Story

What began as a high school elective, became a lifelong passion...

Artisan potter, Todd Crouse, began throwing in high school when he signed up to take a pottery class. What seemed like a good resume addition for his coveted camp counselor position at Deer Valley YMCA Camp, turned out to be so much more. He enjoyed teaching the basics to campers while honing his skills during his college years. As is often the case though, life intervened - a career, a wife and two kids came along and pottery found itself at the bottom of the list. Kids now mostly grown and his career in a manageable place, Todd decided to give pottery a try again, and here we are! After purchasing his own pottery wheel, and refining his skills in a  pottery immersion course at the Penland School of Crafts in the NC mountains, Todd has been creating functional pottery to be used and enjoyed in your home since 2016.

Todd's wife, Melinda, began collaborating with him in 2018 now that the kids are out of the nest (mostly!) as his design consultant and glaze assistant. She is also enjoying pursuing her own interest in creating hand built pieces, and works with Todd to personalize pottery for special orders.
